Who is responsible?

Alfie Manders, trading as sit society, is responsible for the personal information collected for this website and the early-access list.

The early-access list

If you choose to join, we use your email address to send sit society launch updates. Joining is optional and is not a purchase or reservation. We rely on your consent for these marketing emails. MailerLite handles the signup and mailing-list service and may record associated subscription information, such as the time, source, consent status and technical request information.

You can withdraw consent or object to direct marketing at any time. Use the unsubscribe link in an email, or email hello@sitsociety.co.uk. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

Contacting us and visiting the site

If you email us, we use your contact details and the contents of your message to respond. Our legitimate interest is answering enquiries and running the business. Microsoft 365 provides our business email service. Cloudflare hosts and helps secure the website; technical information such as IP addresses and request details may be processed to deliver and protect it.

Providers and international processing

We use MailerLite for the list, Cloudflare for hosting and Microsoft 365 for business email. These providers may process information outside the UK. Their applicable data-processing terms describe processing locations, subprocessors and transfer safeguards, which can include adequacy arrangements or contractual safeguards where required. Contact us for information about the arrangements relevant to your data.

How long we keep information

We keep subscription information while you remain subscribed and the list serves its launch-update purpose. We review whether it is still needed if launch plans change or the list becomes inactive. After you unsubscribe, we may retain a minimal suppression record to avoid emailing you again and records needed to demonstrate consent or handle a complaint. Enquiries are retained only for as long as needed to respond, resolve follow-up issues or meet applicable legal obligations.

Your choices and rights

You can ask for access, correction, deletion or restriction of your information, and object to relevant processing. Data portability may apply to information processed by consent using automated means. Rights depend on the circumstances and are not all absolute. Contact hello@sitsociety.co.uk to make a request. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

We do not use this pre-launch list to make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

Cookies and external links

The current site does not include advertising pixels or optional analytics scripts. Its fonts are served from our own website. Cloudflare may use necessary security technologies. Submitting the signup form contacts MailerLite. If you follow an external link, that service’s privacy and cookie information applies. We will review this notice and any consent controls before adding tracking or checkout.
